My Background in a Nutshell
I was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and attended Superior Road Elementary, Severance Millikin Elementary, and Monticello Junior High. For high school my parents sent me to Cheshire Academy in Cheshire, Connecticut. They feared I would never get into college because I wrote too many stories during my classes. I returned to Ohio and graduated from Kent State with a bachelor's degree in speech and English. It was during my senior year that I started Lollipop Dragon Productions. Those first six audio-visual programs for early childhood education eventually grew into three hundred. For the next four decades, Lollipop Dragon videos, books, games, DVD's and kits were distributed by the educational division of Singer. While a student living in Kent I was accepted into the Freemasons. After KSU I joined the Army Reserves and eventually moved to Los Angeles, where I wrote screenplays and corporate collateral.
